Summary: Are you feeling negative emotions, stress, or anxiety? Discover if low vibration is the culprit with this low vibration checklist.

Not everyone is consciously aware of energetic vibrations or vibes, either internally or around them. However, we do intuitively sense high- and low-vibrational people, whether we realize it or not.

More often than not, it’s easier to be attuned to other people’s vibes than our own. But is there a way to get more in tune with your own vibrations?

There sure is.

Even if you suffer from a low vibration, you can learn to raise and keep it high on a daily basis.

What does low vibration mean?

All living things have vibrations—a being’s energetic frequency. And with all things in life, where there are high vibes, there also must be low ones.

Having a low vibration is associated with negative, oppressive emotions.

How can you tell if you have a low vibration?

If you find yourself constantly at the mercy of emotions like…

  • Anger
  • Jealousy
  • Bitterness
  • Pessimism
  • Guilt
  • Blame

… then you may be suffering from a low vibration.

Every single person has different vibrations, representing who you are. They also reflect what you’ve gone through and going through at the moment.

— Donna Eden, energy healer and leading proponent of Energy Medicine in America

What does higher vibration mean?

Higher vibrations are associated with elevated emotions like happiness, joy, gratitude, and forgiveness.

When you encounter someone with a higher vibration, you sense it. They’re often smiling and cheerful, have a positive outlook on life, and light up the room around them.

6 ways to raise your vibration

Do you want to raise your energetic frequency? Here are six ways that can help:

1. Check your mood

Are you happy, energized, enthusiastic, and bright? Or are you moody, depressed, lethargic, angry, or resentful?

Persistent sadness, anger, or other negative emotions signal a low vibration. But you have the power to change your moods.

Your negative moods are essential. Don’t deny them — they are important to your self-awareness — but attempt to elevate yourself above them as quickly as possible.

Often, just voicing the fact that you feel a certain way takes the focus away from the problem (putting it on the feeling). Then it’s easier to let it move through you and dissipate.

The simplest way is to acknowledge, “I feel (sad, angry, jealous, etc.).

Part of this recognition involves knowing that you are not your feelings. They are not you. They are temporary experiences, and that’s all.

So, avoid saying, “I am sad” or “I am angry.” You are not these things. You can say, “I feel sad” or “I feel angry.

If you focus on the problem, the feelings continue, but if you focus on the feeling and give no mental energy to the problem, the feelings will pass.

Try this: Triple Warmer Tapping

This technique helps you release any stress and anxiety to feel better instantly. It works on the triple warmer meridian that controls your fight, flight, or freeze response.

According to Donna Eden, author of Energy Medicine, the triple warmer impacts the immune system and our ability to manage stress.

How to do it:

  • Place one hand on your heart chakra.
  • Start tapping in between the fourth and fifth fingers outside of your hand while thinking of your stress.
  • Tap until it’s gone.
  • Repeat with the other hand.

2. Check your results

A high vibration manifests as positive results; a low vibration manifests as negative results.

If things were going along just fine and then suddenly took a turn for the worse, it’s due to a lowering of your vibration.

Keep in mind that your circumstances result from past vibrations, though – you may still be dealing with the residue of ways you used to vibrate.

Try this: The Reverse Gap

This exercise was coined by Dan Sullivan, one of the foremost entrepreneurial coaches in the world.

It’s based on the idea that we experience life in terms of where we are today and where we want to be.

So instead of focusing on your negative results, you want to think of the reverse gap—all the accomplishments you’ve achieved so far.

How to do it:
Reflect in your journal:

  • What did you achieve?
  • How far did you come?
  • What do you value and appreciate that you longed to have in the past, and you’ve got it now?
  • Write down five things from your personal and work lives.

Practice this exercise regularly, adding new things every day. Review your list by the end of the month and see how it makes you feel.

3. Check your mind

Your mental processes are directly affected by your vibration.

A high vibration is characterized by sharp thinking, quick learning, easy memory recall, creative problem-solving, and creativity in general.

Low vibration is characterized by sluggish thinking, slow learning, mental fog, poor memory, and being stuck on problems and creative blocks.

Try this: Spark your creativity

Inspire your inner artist by doing something you love that has absolutely nothing to do with your responsibilities. Stimulate your mind with this cherished activity until you feel better. It won’t take long!

Check these energy medicine exercises to clear your creative blocks. They are easy to learn and highly effective for becoming more creative.

4. Check your body

Your physical body holds a lot of clues about your energetic vibration.

Headaches, fatigue, digestive issues, skin problems, sleep disturbances, low libido, and frequent illness are common symptoms of low vibration. All of them can be traced back to energy.

They are symptoms that may appear to have a physical cause, but in reality, a ‘physical’ cause is also, at its root, an energetic cause.

If you’ve ever been through a challenging, long-term period, you know that it took a toll on your health and vitality. Similarly, being in love and doing something you love stimulates good health.

Try this: Body talk

Have a body talk with your body. Listen to what it is telling you. You may be so used to feeling depressed or stressed that you don’t even notice it. But your body does. It will respond to fatigue, sleep problems, and many other symptoms. Don’t take any physical clues lightly.

If your body tells you that you need to sleep more, exercise regularly, and eat healthier, take that first step to fulfill its needs.

5. Check your home

Your home is a physical representation of what is going on in your energy.

For example, overwhelmed and worried people will often neglect their homes because they can’t handle yet another chore on their to-do list. These low-vibrating energies make themselves comfortable in your home, manifesting as clutter, dirt, and disorder.

Try this: Declutter your home

If your home is cluttered, it directly affects your vibration. You clean out the negative energy that has taken up residence in your energy field as you clean your home.

You can also smudge your house by burning sage, palo santo, yerba santa, juniper, mugwort, or cedar.

How to do it:

  • Open the doors, windows, drawers, and cabinets in your space.
  • As you smudge your space, go through the space, focusing on all corners.

6. Check your food

Some foods are toxic to your body. They contaminate your energy field and lower your vibration. In essence, the cleaner you eat, the higher you vibrate.

Some low-vibration foods that you should avoid if you want to raise your vibrations are:

  1. Coffee
  2. Sodas
  3. Alcohol
  4. White rice
  5. Flour
  6. Sweets
  7. Meat and fish
  8. Canned food
  9. Frozen food
  10. Milk products
  11. Processed food
  12. Vegetable oil

Try this: Food energy testing

You can energetically test the food that’s good for you. When you eat foods that are aligned with your unique energetic blueprint, it helps you create health and vitality beyond the ordinary.

You can test any food, including herbs and even supplements.

In this video, Donna Eden demonstrates how to do food energy testing.
