Summary: Is your manifestation game feeling a little flat? Scripting manifestation can add some sparkle and speed things up—here are seven tips to master it.

Manifestation—you’ve likely heard the buzz about it. Maybe you’ve even created a vision board, tossed around a few affirmations, or just hoped really, really hard that something would go your way.

But if you’re starting to feel like the universe’s least favorite child, then there’s one thing you may want to try. It’s called scripting manifestation—and it’s essentially taking your desires, putting them into a detailed letter to the universe, and waiting for the magic to unfold.

Sounds like glorified journaling? Admittedly, it kind of is, but it’s got a powerful twist: you’re aligning your energy with what you want to attract.

Journaling is in and of itself a constant process of manifestation,” Ana Juma, a journaling expert and the founder of Prophsee®, shares with Mindvalley Pulse. “As you write, you become, you create.”

When you’re able to nail down the scripting manifestation method, you may find that the universe has your back after all.

What is scripting manifestation?

Scripting is an incredibly effective journaling technique for manifestation. Instead of writing down what you hope will happen, you’re writing down what has happened.

The idea behind it is that by visualizing your future and putting it on paper in the present tense, you’re already living in that reality.

By visualizing and feeling your aspirations in detail, scripting directs your focus and aligns your frequency with what you wish to manifest,” Ana explains. She adds that it helps you “become the person needed to attract it into your life.”

Essentially, you’re convincing your brain—and the universe—that it’s all already yours.

How does scripting work, and why is it effective?

Scripting combines three things:

  • visualization,
  • intention-setting, and
  • creative writing.

By describing your desires as if they’ve already manifested, you engage your subconscious mind (which, by the way, can’t tell the difference between what’s real and what’s imagined).

Why is this effective? Firstly, you’re being crystal clear about your desires.

No more vague wishes like “I want to be happy” or “I want more money.” Instead, you’re specific: “I’m so grateful that I now have a fulfilling job where I earn $100,000 a year and can travel to places I love.”

The thing is, writing down goals increases the likelihood of achieving them by 42%. So imagine if they’re ultra-specific… Imagine what you can achieve then.

Secondly, scripting manifestation puts you in a more positive emotional state where you naturally feel excited, confident, and empowered. These emotions help raise your vibration and put you in the energetic space where the Law of Attraction can do its magic.

As Regan Hillyer, a master manifestor and the trainer of Mindvalley’s The Art of Manifesting Quest, points out, it’s all about the “be, do, have.”

When you use manifestation techniques like this one, you’re already being the person who has what you want. That leads to you doing the things that bring it closer to you so you can finally have what you desire.

Scripting manifestation examples & prompts

So how do you go from “I want more money” to “I’m so grateful that I now have a fulfilling job where I earn $100,000 a year and can travel to places I love”? (Or whatever it is you desire.)

Here are a few scripting manifestation examples for different areas of life you can get inspired by.

  • Career:I am thriving in my dream job, where I feel valued and appreciated. Every day, I wake up excited to tackle new projects, collaborate with inspiring people, and make a positive impact.”
  • Relationships: I am in a loving, supportive relationship with a partner who understands and cherishes me. We communicate openly, laugh often, and create amazing memories together.”
  • Health: I am in the best shape of my life, with boundless energy and vitality. I enjoy nourishing my body with healthy food and look forward to my daily workouts.”
  • Wealth:I am financially free and secure, with a steady flow of income that exceeds my needs. I manage my wealth wisely, and I enjoy the freedom to invest in my passions, travel, and give generously to causes I care about.”
  • Personal Growth:I am constantly evolving and learning. Every day, I wake up with a fresh perspective, eager to expand my mind and challenge myself in new ways.”

Feel free to get creative. For instance, you can imagine your ideal day from start to finish. Or describe how you feel, what you’re doing, and who you’re with. You can even include the smallest details, like the smell of your coffee or the sound of the ocean if you’re on vacation.

The bottom line is, the more details and the clearer the picture, the better.

How to start scripting for manifestation

According to Ana, journaling accelerates your manifestation by helping you be more clear on your intentions and more aware of your thought patterns. She should know; she’s been journaling for more than 10 years now.

When we become more aware of the power each one of us carries in shaping reality,” she adds, “we inevitably become more intentional about what we think, say, and do.”

Scripting manifestation bolsters that. And with Ana’s guidance, here’s how you can start:

1. Choose a journal

This seems a little obvious, but choosing a journal that suits your needs and style matters. Why’s that important? Well, it’s kind of like choosing shoes—you wouldn’t want to pick one that you’re going to hate wearing, right? It goes the same for this.

It could be a…

  • Guided journal with prompts to help you focus your thoughts.
  • Standard journal with lined or dotted pages.
  • Blank journal to use as a vision board or fully express yourself without restrictions.

Truly, you can turn your journal into your manifestation buddy,” says Ana. So make sure it’s one that makes you feel comfortable and inspired to write.

2. Find a peaceful place

Some people can concentrate in a quiet library. For others, it’s a bustling café. But whichever one it is for you, make sure it’s peaceful enough that you can focus and reflect without distractions.

The key is to choose a place that makes you feel calm and grounded,” Ana advises. This will help you fully immerse in the scripting process.

To add to the ambiance, she likes to listen to a calm music playlist, like this one she recommends:

3. Focus on an area of your life

One of the biggest mistakes people make when scripting is trying to manifest everything at once. Spoiler: It doesn’t work like that.

Ana advises you to pick one specific area of your life to focus on instead. It could be your career, your health, your wealth, or your relationships. Alternatively, you can also focus on a specific situation in your life, such as giving a presentation, a type of relationship to cultivate, or your ideal, perfect day.

By narrowing your focus, you can deeply explore your desires and create a more vivid, detailed vision of the life you want to manifest,” she says. And the more specific you get, the more powerful your script will be.

4. Start scripting

Now, here’s where you bring everything to life with your words.

Remember: write in the present tense, as if your desires have already happened. Use phrases like “I am,” “I have,” and “I feel.”

Engage all your senses while writing. Be vivid about what you see, hear, taste, and feel.

For example, let’s say you’re scripting about your dream home. Don’t just write about the layout or how it looks; instead, describe the smell of freshly brewed coffee in the morning, the soft touch of your new couch, or the sound of the birds chirping.

As Ana says, “The more detail and emotion you put into your writing, the more powerful your scripting will be.”

5. Let it go

Once you’ve poured your heart out, let it go. This is what Regan calls “surrendered manifestation.”

As she explains in her Mindvalley Quest, “The key to this is to surrender and be okay with maybe not knowing exactly how this is going to happen.”

It’s a step that many fail to do or don’t realize that they should do.

Ana further explains that holding on too tightly to an outcome can create resistance. You’re setting yourself up for expectations on your timeline.

But here’s the thing: the universe doesn’t work on your timeline; it works on its own. Trying to control when and how things manifest can block the flow.

However, don’t stop the affirmations, visualizations, or acting on your intuition—keep doing them. But also “trust that the universe will bring your desires to you in the right time and way.”

6. Revisit your scripts

If you think scripting manifestation is a one-off thing, news flash—it’s not. Ana recommends revisiting them regularly (but not obsessively).

This not only helps you reflect on your journey but also reinforces your belief in the power of scripting,” she explains. As you flip through the pages, “you might be surprised at how much of what you’ve written has already manifested!

Going back through those pages can help you anchor yourself in the reality that manifestation is happening, even if it’s unfolding in ways you didn’t expect. Plus, it can also give you clarity on what desires might need some tweaking or further focus.

7. Celebrate your manifestations

When you notice that your dreams are becoming reality, take time to celebrate,” Ana suggests.

No, this doesn’t mean throwing a party every time something small shows up (although there’s no judgment if you do). However, do take the time to acknowledge your successes—big or small.

It can be as simple as taking a moment to express gratitude, sharing your success with a friend, or treating yourself to something nice. The key here is to recognize that you’ve done the work, you’ve aligned with your desires, and now you’re reaping the rewards.

This celebration,” Ana points out, “builds positive momentum and helps fuel your future manifestations.”

Frequently asked questions

What should I include in my manifestation script?

As you’re sitting down, wondering what details to include in your scripting manifestation, here are a few things you can consider:

  • Clearly define what you want.
  • Write in the present tense.
  • Include sensory details like sights, sounds, smells, and textures.
  • Focus on how having your desire makes you feel.
  • Give thanks for what you’ve manifested.

Remember to be specific and be vivid.

How often should I write my manifestation scripts?

Scripting doesn’t have to be a daily ritual. In fact, according to Ana, doing it too frequently can lead to rumination and obsession, which is counterproductive to manifestation.

The key is to strike a balance between focusing on your desires and surrendering to the process.

A good approach is to script yearly, quarterly, or monthly. This gives you the space to reflect on your progress without overthinking it.

Can scripting manifestation help me achieve my goals?

Yes, it can. It has for Ana and for Regan. So, it can be for you, too.

Scripting also helps you stay focused and intentional. Writing down your goals and desires in detail makes it easier to align your actions with them.

For example, if you want to attract a loving, supportive partner, your script might look like this: “I am in a deeply fulfilling relationship where we communicate openly and support each other’s growth.”

With this goal, you can start making decisions and taking steps to support it. Like, you might start setting boundaries, communicating more clearly, or making space for the kind of relationship you want.

Over time, these small, aligned actions help you attract and maintain the relationship you’ve scripted. You’re not just waiting for it to happen—you’re becoming the person ready to receive it.

Unlock your brilliance within

Manifestation allows us to witness the universe work its magic in such a beautiful way. Unfortunately, it’s often misunderstood.

A lot of people think that once they get what they desire, then they’ll change. Like, once they’re in the relationship, then they’ll feel loved. Or once they manifest the money, then they’ll feel rich.

That is what Regan Hillyer calls “do, have, be,” where you believe that once you do something, then you’ll have what you want, and only then you’ll finally be happy/loved/fulfilled/etc.

So if you want to go from “do, have, be” to “be, do, have,” Regan can help guide you. Her Mastering Manifestation for Transformation & Success masterclass on Mindvalley is a prelude to her actual Quest.

But don’t be fooled by its bite-sized session. In just 32 minutes, you’ll unlock Regan’s signature accelerated manifestation tools to help you achieve your biggest goals—whether it’s turning your annual income into your monthly paycheck or embodying an unshakable success mindset.

She’s helped countless people, from entrepreneurs to everyday dreamers, unlock their manifesting potential. Now it’s your turn for greatness.
