Dear America,
I want to begin with this:
I love you.
I really, truly do.
I lived in your cities. I walked your campuses. I sat in your coffee shops, dreaming of building something that could change the world.
America was where I studied. Where I discovered my voice.
Where I fell in love with ideas that reshaped my life.
Where I started Mindvalley, with nothing but ambition and a belief that anything was possible.
For a full decade, you were my home.
And in many ways, you still are.
I may live elsewhere now, but I still identify as American more than anything else.
Because America—the idea of America—isn’t just geography.
It’s a frequency. A dream. A promise that inspired not just me, but billions of people around the world.
What we loved about you
We loved your optimism—the way you believed anything was possible.
We loved your rebels—the ones who spoke truth to power and rewrote the rules.
We loved your Martin Luther King Jr., whose voice still echoes across continents.
We loved your Silicon Valley, that dared to invent the future.
We loved your Apple, born in a garage, changing the way we connect.
We loved Burning Man, a wild celebration of freedom, creativity, and community in the desert.
We loved your poets, your scientists, your dreamers.
You were never perfect. But damn—you had soul.
You were the lighthouse.
The messy, brilliant, complicated beacon we looked toward for what was possible.
But lately… that light feels like it’s flickering.
What the world sees now
In just six months, this is what the world has seen:
– Threats to abandon NATO, the alliance that preserved peace for generations.
– Pointless trade wars where everyone loses.
– Withdrawal from the Paris Climate Treaty, while the Earth burns.
– And now—bombs falling on Iran.
Another unwinnable war in the Middle East.
A war your people swore they’d never allow again.
Not after Iraq.
Not after Afghanistan.
And it’s not just the outer world we see you destroy.
We see you tearing yourselves apart from within.
- Immigration raids that tear apart families and have caused LA to burn.
- Politicians who sound like children while openly taking bribes.
- Tax cuts for billionaires, while those struggling now actually have to pay more in taxes.
- A climate movement abandoned by the very country where it was born.
And yet—I’m writing this letter with an open heart.
Because I haven’t given up.
This week, I’m helping my son apply to U.S. universities. We’re preparing for a tour of East Coast campuses. Then, I’m driving from South Dakota to Yosemite, with stops at Mount Rushmore and the great open spaces I fell in love with.
I want to show my son America. Because I still believe in what America can be.
But I also cannot stay silent—not as a lover of your culture, not as a global citizen.
This spiral you’re in?
It must be named. And it must be stopped.
Because true friends don’t stay silent when they see you crashing.
The spiral was not a mystery. It was a choice.
Every war.
Every broken treaty.
Every erosion of trust.
It didn’t just happen. It was chosen through voting decisions.
By people who, often unknowingly, chose:
- Ego over empathy.
- Charisma over character.
- Soundbites over substance.
And I don’t blame you.
You were caught in a storm of propaganda. You were tired, misled, afraid.
But we need to be honest:
When you vote for leaders who enable war, destabilize peace, and govern through vengeance, you are not just voting for policy. You are voting for self-destruction.
What happened to service?
A great American president once said:
“Ask not what your country can do for you—ask what you can do for your country.” – John F. Kennedy
Another said:
“We must never remain silent in the face of injustice.” – Barack Obama
Even Ronald Reagan once called America a “shining city upon a hill.”
What happened to that America?
Now we see leaders who sow division instead of unity.
Who thrive on conflict rather than compassion.
Who look not to serve, but to rule.
And as Sun Tzu warned:
“Some men would set their own nation ablaze, just to be king over the ashes.”
Can you recognize them?
Because now more than ever, you must.
America, you’ve always known how to tell the story. Now it’s time to live it.
Think of your heroes.
The ones you’ve shown us on screen for decades.
Will Smith in Independence Day.
Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible.
They save the world, not just themselves.
They protect their families, but they also rise to a higher mission.
That’s what made us fall in love with you.
Your heroes were never selfish.
They were flawed, yes. But they stood up for something bigger.
So why, in real life, do you so often vote for the opposite?
Your vote is not just yours
I say this with love—and urgency:
Your vote doesn’t just affect your neighborhood. It affects the entire planet.
- It affects the air we all breathe.
- The treaties we all depend on.
- The peace we all hope for.
- The future our children will inherit.
This is no longer about party loyalty or economic policy.
This is about consciousness.
This is about whether the most powerful country on Earth will continue to operate from fear and ego —
Or rise into wisdom and service.
What the world needs from you now
We don’t need another American empire.
We need an American elder.
Not one who dominates. One who guides.
Not one who fears. One who serves.
Because you were never meant to be a fortress.
You were meant to be a lighthouse.
But a lighthouse cannot fulfill its purpose if it forgets to shine inward first.
You taught us to dream. Now we’re asking you to dream again.
The world doesn’t hate you.
We’re not laughing at you.
We’re just watching… and hoping.
Hoping that the America we believed in is still in there.
The next time you march in the streets,
March for all of us.
Not just for the poor or hungry in your zip code.
But for the citizens of our shared planet who need you to shine again.
And when the time comes…
Vote with your heart. And with your higher self.
The choice is yours
Not every election is a turning point.
But some are.
And the one you’re facing now?
This is that moment.
You can vote for leaders who turn the world into a battlefield.
Or vote for those who understand that true power is service.
You can choose:
- Ego or evolution
- Division or destiny
- Fear or future
The world is not asking you to be perfect.
We are simply asking you to remember who you are, at your best.
The America that marched with MLK.
That wrote the Moonshot speech.
That created iPhones, NASA, jazz, and the dream that all humans are created equal.
That’s the America we still believe in.
That’s the America the world needs.
Let that be the America you choose.

Very well said. It’s time to see the world as one, where the big leaders take a stand and a role to really preserve the life and health of the planet at its all.
Very well said. It’s time to see the world as one, where the big leaders take a stand and a role to really preserve the life and health of the planet at its all.
It is so sad and disappointing the creator of Mindvalley can not see the truth..
Absolutely. Such a sad state of affairs.
Agreed!
Dear Vishen Kristina and Ajit and all of your dear families in Mindvalley office.
Thank you for being open with your thoughts about the conditions we all seem apparently governed by.
God almighty God Bulurru says that our lives currently under fossil fuels agendas macrocosm umbrella regimes in power too long, are governing with fear and anxiety control behaviour.
Much of the fear and war idealism from the resources our humanity is controlled by. Fossil fuels agendas actually causing confusion with our human rights, simply because the amounts of fossil gas and uranium and coal mining extractions lingering around the earth, are like emptying one’s mind of every thought and leaving them to hang around? unconscionable unaware of the wasteful energy haemorrhage, now caused by keeping those fossil fuels agendas, thoughts in play.
Almost like spiritual cleansing is required from unearthing fossil energies that were always supposed to be in the ground.
One human being needs to unpack only the thoughts that are no longer serving their needs, unpacking everything you think, could cause loss of integral neuro pathways to our core values unless you prefer things that way,? as so many are zombies in the world, because nobody could cope consciously , with first world countries waging war on themselves, causing third world conditions for no reason other than power?
However this is a distraction from the trouble of war time behaviours that you reckon with, in the open letter to the world and the USA.
After being in the webinar with your colleague Ajit this week and pleased to learn about a beautiful meditation that Ajit shared with us, at the end of day 3 webinar.
So if you are comfortable sharing in this prayerful meditation that Ajit presented, my perspectives in Australia, goes like this,;
Imagine you are resting in peaceful surroundings a bush setting or ocean view.
Breathing in a deep breath filled with golden light of living Christ Jesus,
fill your whole body from the tip of your toes to the tip of your head and fingertips, imagine the energy of light beam anchors your body and everyone’s body, all around the world, in the channels of light we receive running through our beings , imagine that light flowing into the earth and absorbing into the earth where you can let unwanted thoughts dissipate, and while renewed energy rises up through our nervous system, into the universe, see that energy running around the planets in figure 8 , and through humanity being on the earth and through the earth all around making us the central figures in our own infinity projections, running healing Infinity, number 8, through our universal and earthly awareness systems , cleansing ourselves along the way, where you can also let go, the unwanted behaviour and thoughts patterns, either by yourself and with helping others out of the skin they shedding into this new self, life born out of the old ways adapting out of fossil agendas, return to renewables resources all of humanity in conscious awareness respect to traditional owners, caretakers TREATY respect, recognise the thousands of millenia they know and care for humanity & earth , well being now.
Breathing in another deep breath and release, with everything you need to let go in thought and feelings, straight to heaven and given to God Bulurru the almighty,
Imagine you sending all the trauma and love you all witnessed in the world , sending to God almighty God Bulurru and hear the mercy of God in your hearts compassion.
Inside our hearts with the next breath, we send love to all the world, and we sending love unto ourselves, for healing our life and quality of life and improving the world we need now.
Breathing deep, one breath at a time and release, sending love and blessings prayers vibes, in frequent dosage mindfulness each moment each day, prayerful thought drops, into the world, from within & aligned with our rhythmic heartbeat, knowing we are one with the universe and the universe is one with us,
as we are one with our natural environment and our humanity. Now take a moment to really send the love we all need, to the world, all around the world, with the blessings prayers by God and the archangels of God almighty,
that we cause so much equality respect in prayer, in our actions of sending love, being atone with the universe and human beings Holy Spirit energy.
Trust let go of the anxious thoughts feelings and concerns for our humanity necessary changes are let go to God, and God Bulurru is processing our intentions request, for a world filled with peace love and blessings prayers, for every single human being,
knowing we also as humanity welfare, needs to choose renewables resources urgently!
for the governance factor of our social equality respect, considering all traditional owners first nations families and cultural heritage practices around the earth who never would have chosen fossil fuels agendas,
let everything go home to God almighty God Bulurru every stress, every perversion of justified actions, everything that is overwhelming to our perceptions, of how we create the heavens on earth conditions, that God made us, and this beautiful garden, for our best quality versions of ourselves,
sometimes things are weeded out of the garden, other planted in, for a more refined quality of things we grow, for improving our humanity wellbeing practice
Notice the power of our strength, combined to send the amounts of love required, to fuel our hopes for humanity,, best versions of ourselves, keep sending love, no matter what the amount. Speak and seek truth always.
Breathing more relaxed now coming back to our renewable conscious awareness, of improving our services with intentions of love, for helping others. Feel the energy flowing through our body as one aura surrounding the earth altogether humanity energy, humanity systems realigned with God’s plan once more,
where Jesus Christ and Joseph and Mary, mother of God almighty God Bulurru point to our hearts compassion, for one another.
Now realigned with our God’s purpose for humanity in the now, conscious of the urgent request for equality respect to traditional owners.
Back in our full awareness now and realising a journey in balance
Forgiveness matters, maybe not always understanding, however forgive, in best positive regards for on the outside, things are different. On the inside we know our purpose of realigning our humanity with love and blessings prayers.
With that meditation and prayer , is our actions of combining love with conscious awareness in others, to bring our humanity more in line with our creator plan, by God.

DEO Gratias thanks be to God almighty God Bulurru hear our prayer
Thank you ! This are the right words to say !
Congratulation for your atitude 🙏❤️
I see your point and I do feel exactly the same. I need to add something here: the downward spiral is indeed an act of choice: Our choice.
Our choice to depend governance on others.
Out choice to vote only if it fits to our schedule.
Our choice to keep politics away from our life, yet knowing that politics shapes the future.
Our choice to protest but not participate.
Our choice to vote but not be voted.
If we truly want the world to go the right way, we need to participate, we need to get involved, participate in the elections, get elected, spend time on public matters.
If we live public matters to others, others will decise the fate of the world.
Just this small addition…
Amen
Vishen, you are amazing. I love Mindvalley and all of the wonderful content it provides. That in mind, your email did not at all land well with me. I appreciate the intention of your message, it’s simply not the content I subscribed to Mindvalley for and I do not consent to receiving this type of email in the future. Kind regards.
Thank you for your boundaries in this statement. I agree 100%. This is absolutely NOT what I paid a dues membership to Mind Valley for. Although there are some great teachers on this platform, I also feel as though Vishen should have offered a refund of a membership if he wants to create a poltiical platform instead of a consciousness raising platform.
Well said. This is not a platform for political statements.
I personally appreciate Vishen for taking a stand. His article is heartfelt and not derogatory toward the US and yet some resort to insults and aggression in their responses. It should be ok to disagree.
I would like to think that everyone is aware that the news we’re “fed” is manipulated by both sides. It is the driving force behind the divisiveness. If the only news one listens to supports what they already believe to be true how can they get a different perspective. We’re encouraged not to discuss these things and that keeps us all at the mercy of the algorithms feeding the news we see based on what we choose to view. There’s minimal truth in any of it. And yet as Vishen tries to open conversation, he’s attacked.
While some of what this administration is trying to do seems appropriate from some perspective, human rights are being trampled and violence and hatred towards numerous groups of citizens are being reinforced by those who would resort to that.
I don’t know the answer, admittedly. Neither party has stood for the “people” for a long time and it’s not just an American problem, but as Vishen points out, we have been given great power and with that comes great responsibility. Leading with compassion, respect, integrity and I’ll even say love (although that word is misrepresented) would go a long way towards making the world a better place.
Who knows the bigger picture…maybe the world has to burn to be rebuilt and this administration is simply playing its role well.
It’s sad that on a platform of what I assume are intelligent and compassionate people we can’t have a respectful discussion about issues that truly affect all of the planet. Thank you, Vishen for voicing something that “the powers that be” (Republicans or Democrats) want people to remain silent about.
Maybe if we’d actually come together in peace to discuss differences we’d recognize our similarities and actually experience peace.
Thank you Vishen for speaking your Truth, for using your platform of Influence to inform and add comfort in this time of distress and insecurity. It is a long-held personal belief that Abundance is not entirely about gaining personal finanacial wealth. It truly is about a mind-set that is in alignment with a beneficial transformation that with reach even the most underpriveleged. Greed will not heal the traumas in the World. Awesome, Marti D! I so value what you wrote.
Vishen – silly me, I was under the impression that MindValley was for personal development. I did not join MindValley to discuss politics.
But since you brought up the subject – why are you singling out the leadership of the U.S.? No mention of the leaders of Iran? Of Russia? Of North Korea? Or do you consider those regimes acceptable?
Yes, I voted for Trump. Not because I agree with everything he does, but the Biden/Harris route would have been a much more dangerous route for our country.
And I’m disappointed in you, Vishen. I considered MindValley a safe space, but you have taken that away from me. By bringing such divisive, and uninformed, words into the conversation smacks of Bait & Switch. Sign up for enlightenment and get embroiled in politics and one individual’s world views. This is not how to use your platform. Your words have forever tainted my view of you and MindValley.
I understand that you joined MindValley for personal growth—and that makes perfect sense. But isn’t true growth meant to expand not only how we think about ourselves, but also how we engage with the world around us?
When someone speaks out against injustice or harmful leadership, it’s not just “politics”—it’s purpose. Especially when the values at stake involve people’s rights, safety, and lived experiences. In those moments, silence isn’t neutrality—it’s complicity.
You asked why U.S. leadership was singled out instead of regimes like Iran or North Korea. But here’s the thing: we don’t live under those governments. We live in the U.S.—a country where our choices, votes, and civic engagement directly shape policies and impact lives. Pointing to distant authoritarian regimes doesn’t excuse what’s happening here. If anything, it raises the standard for our own moral accountability.
In many ways, the U.S. is undergoing its own form of personal development—being confronted with its flaws, shown a mirror, and asked to evolve. That process is rarely comfortable. But that discomfort? That *is* development.
Feeling challenged isn’t the same as being attacked. And framing a values-based message as a betrayal of safety isn’t personal growth—it’s emotional deflection. Growth asks us to take radical responsibility, not retreat when faced with inconvenient truths.
Maybe this moment is an invitation—not a violation—to broaden our understanding of growth. And to recognize that collective healing is deeply personal… and yes, inherently political too.
This isn’t so much about who you voted for—and yes, I voted for Kamala. This is about who we, as a people, are willing to become. Are we willing to evolve toward more justice, more safety, and more empathy for one another? Or are we going to double down on denial?
And frankly, to claim that a post made you feel “emotionally unsafe” while people are literally being hunted down by ICE because of their skin color—and yes, there is video evidence of both that and people being beaten in the street—reveals a staggering level of privilege. Real personal development demands empathy and discomfort.
Sadly, have to agree with Anita…
Exactly
Spot on.
Wow that is so well said. I too have felt that Mind Valley was a safe space only to be hit with this in my inbox yesterday morning. As a leader of consciousness and oneness, the divisive and uninformed words hit me at my core. I have seen so many of my spiritual leaders fall prey to this polarity. There is a bigger picture here and that is that the universe has a plan and Donald Trump just happens to be the tool that is being used. If you truly feel as though that the United States is broken it flies in the face of ALL my beliefs that everything is working in our favor, all things work together for good, even the previous administrations that brought us to this point. It’s so easy to arm chair like this when the truth is that the evil exists in our own minds and hearts not one human being. Let’s remember we see what we are believing within our own consciousness. So if you are seeing this perhaps looking within is the beginning.
Dear Vishen,
I am heartbroken that you introduced your political agenda to the entire platform. This was a safe place to learn and to grow. A place where I looked forward to coming everyday. Now it’s just another biased political forum.
You have betrayed your subscribers and instructors by turning this platform intended for education and personal growth into the another political propaganda arena. This is not what I paid for. It’s the definition of bait and switch. Shame on you.
I hear your heartbreak—and I understand that you came to this platform seeking a safe space for learning and growth. But it’s worth asking: what does “safety” really mean in the context of personal development? Because growth—real growth—often begins in discomfort.
Speaking out about injustice isn’t “political propaganda.” It’s part of living with integrity. Especially when the issues being raised impact people’s lives, rights, and safety. That’s not a betrayal of the platform’s mission—it’s an extension of it.
Calling it a bait and switch implies that education and conscious social awareness are incompatible. But they’re not. In fact, they belong together. You can’t fully evolve as a human being while ignoring the systems that shape your fellow humans’ experiences.
Maybe this isn’t a betrayal, but a mirror. A challenge. An invitation to lean in instead of checking out.
Transformation isn’t always gentle. But it is always honest.
I agree with you. It saddens me that this platform turned ti personal political views that may not reflect the truth. It is our job as light workers to hold the highest vibration of Love! This is not it!
I have followed your channel for years, and held you in the highest esteem for the accomplishments you have
made over the years, and the challenges you have overcome in creating your multi million dollar platform!!!
However, in reading your letter to America 🇺🇸, I have quickly come to the conclusion that your success has
come, as the result of your collusion with the Deep State Cult, which has hired you as a recruit for their
nefarious, evil Agenda!!!!!
You have been so involved with the issues that have allowed you to attain great acclaim and millions of
followers and subscribers, yet you are totally ignorant of what has been happening in the world, and over
decades and decades of time in America!!!!
The US Corporation has bankrupted America, impoverished its people and institutions, and has created an
atmosphere of immorality, degradation and hopelessness!!! Many Americans are Awakening lately, to the
fact that they have been betrayed on a massive scale, and have elected a Leader, Donald J. Trump, who
has sacrificed his life, and been indicted unjustly, vilified, demonized, and has continued to stand firm in his endeavour to bring the American people out of this bondage by the Babylonian Leviathan Behemoth!!!!!!!
You, Lakhani, need to wake up to the Truth, and stop serving up platitudes, that sound wonderful in theory,
but do not echo a word of Truth!!! All you are doing is serving your Puppet Masters, The Cabal.
Interesting reading. So you prefer the US that is today than the one it was, for example, under Bush? (just to stay within the Republican side)
Exactly my thoughts! Wake the f**k up Vishen. You are either genuinely in the dark about how the world is run and who runs it, or else you have succumb to the Globalist cult and its nefarious agenda based on the nonsensical and severely uninformed views in this open letter. Do some proper research before you put your point of view across. I’m definitely not a MindValley fan anymore.
Amen Alannah! I believe Vishen is so insulated to the truth. It saddens me he used his platform to politicize his position.
This is a great awakening. People are now waking up and becoming truly aware of what is going on. The fact that Vishen is referring to “countries” and what The United States is doing- tells me he is clueless to what is really going on. Alannah – I really appreciate your post! Well done.
You hit the nail on the head!
That’s exactly what it is an unwinnable war with unhealable wounds oozing pus and contaminating every thing it touches , this is what happens when we don’t learn our lessons from previous mistakes , we repeat them !
May the American dream never die, may the love of life and humanity return and rule again , Amin
I love this letter and everything you have said in it is true about America. Unfortunately, even the people who where voted in to stop all of this have now coward down (or maybe they have given up like a lot of Americans) to the tyrants who want revenge. I have sat and watched America start down the path of Revelations for the last 12 years and it scares the hell out of me. This is not what our native Americans wanted for a country they knew how to live in it peacefully, to take care of it as well. Like you pointed out the world keeps spinning with new technology which makes it easier to give into temptation. To not live from a higher self. I live from a place of peace and kindness with the hope that it will be contagious toward others. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and for allowing us to have a say as well (positive or sadly negatively).
You do sound quite nostalgic, Vishen—and rightly so.
Yes, technology has progressed. Along with it, the world has changed. And America has changed—perhaps forever.
But the human living process—what it means to dream, to care, to seek purpose—has not changed. Something at its core remains untouched.
The new America still lives in the hearts and minds of millions like yourself—whether they’ve built their own “Mindvalley” or are just beginning to dream.
So let’s not delude ourselves into thinking we can return to the “old” America. Neil Diamond now lives only in our hearts.
It’s still the same old world, swirling around the sun at 30 kilometers per second—each one of us riding along. Not as fast as a race car perhaps, but still a wild ride—especially because we don’t notice it.
Maybe the real question is: Who among us will find their own valley—their own rhythm of meaning, service, and care?
It’s a wild ride.
But then again, when was it not?
Vishen, thank you. You are not divisive in your message to us in my opinion. You are identifying the deep chasms dividing us. It is too bad others are criticizing your concerns as politically based as they are clearly about the USA as having been historically a beacon to the world and now is retracting to isolation and racism.
Thank you, Vishen, for raising your voice and doing so with the clarity and intention you brought to it. Thank you for speaking on behalf of so many of us—those of us watching with concern and anguish from other parts of the world. There will be many comments saying not to talk about politics, but this is not the time to stay silent. This is the time to be crystal clear about our values and to focus on the well-being of all beings who share this planet. Once again, thank you for not staying quiet.
Thank you for this timely message. As someone who has benefitted enormously from Mindvalley programs, gurus and community, it has been hard to trust the ethos of Mindvalley while it ignored and remained silent on our current reality in the U.S. and globally. Thank you for breaking the silence and speaking up clearly and eloquently. Thank you for naming both the love, dreams, and aspirations, and their careless and ignorant betrayal.
We were far from perfect, and our problems did not emerge suddenly. There was much that needed fixing. We understand the frustrations that led so many to put their faith in a chest-beating xenophobe. It will take love and compassion, and a whole new set of skills to be harnessed by communities, not a wildly swinging battle ax, to fix these.
I am optimistic that as we name our shortcomings, more gurus will emerge to provide Mindvalley programming to help us heal our world together.
I didn’t sign up for this type of email, and I don’t want to see it in my mailbox. I’d actually like to cancel my membership to mindvalley. As a LEGAL immigrant to America, a country I love, I cannot support those who did not use due process to enter, but burn cities down demanding it when told to leave. I paid HUNDREDS of thousands of dollars to be here. Should I get it back? I don’t see you telling “truth” about Canada, where I am from. You single out the US. If you don’t like America… LEAVE. Don’t run Americans down while sending IG pix back to Canada of your vacation in the Grand Canyon. Go to Niagara Falls and bitch. But most of all, DO NOT BITCH IN MY INBOX. Scroll on if you don’t like us. Vishen is now part of the problem and I don’t appreciate this bait and switch. Stick to your classes.
Truth hurts.
Feel it.
Starting with the inflated ego of a country that calls itself America and has left behind an entire continent. This letter should be called “A Letter to the United States,” a country that has always been selfish, racist and elitist. It’s a turning point, yes, because now all the shit has exploded. It has been a country with opportunities, but with many weaknesses, failures, and challenges. The United States of today is a reflection of that.
