Most of us are aware of the existence of the subconscious mind — but we don’t necessarily know what it is, what it does, or how we can learn to master it.
The truth is, your subconscious mind power can be an amazing ally when you master it. Yet, if it stays untamed, it can drive the direction of your life in undesirable ways.
What Is The Subconscious Mind?
The subconscious mind is not imaginary. It is a very real, very integral part of you, and it can help you unlock powers you never before imagined.
It is very much like a supercomputer put in place to help you create your life experiences.
Throughout your life, you have programmed your subconscious with thought habits and beliefs. Just like any of your other habits, the thoughts that you have repeated to yourself have become habits.
There’s no real difference between the habit of tying your shoes and the habit of thinking about yourself in a certain way.
What Can The Subconscious Mind Do?
The subconscious mind has such a great impact on our lives, but we often tend to forget that it is even there.
The subconscious mind can serve as a memory bank. Many of those memories are stored just under the surface of your conscious mind and are hiding in the subconscious mind that stores them and is ready to revive them when needed.
We have the ability to store just about anything in our subconscious mind, whether it be a memory, a past experience, or even repressed trauma.
How Does The Subconscious Mind Work?
Repetition creates habit. These mental habits are combined with your own personal experiences to form an incredibly complex network of beliefs that help you understand and negotiate the world.
The subconscious mind doesn’t do any creative thinking. That’s not its job.
It cannot distinguish between what is “imaginary” and what is “real.” Any thought you repeat or visual image you create and hold in your mind are examples of the “operating system” that you program into your subconscious mind.
Its job is to store, organize, and interpret data from your predominant thoughts. Its job is to attract or help you create the circumstances that match the images and thoughts you have imprinted in it, and automate much of your behaviors and thought patterns.
Pretty powerful, when you think about it!
The problem is, a lot of what has been imprinted or programmed into the subconscious mind could be called “faulty programming.”
What is faulty programming?
Examples of faulty programming are thought habits like telling yourself that you can’t do something, can’t have something, or don’t deserve something.
When you repeat these often enough, you can’t help but create situations in your life that validate and express what you hold in your subconscious mind.
The conscious mind is the programmer. It’s the thinking mind, the creative mind. But the conscious mind is influenced by filters that your predominant thoughts have created and stored in the subconscious.
The subconscious mind, just like a computer, does not judge or discriminate between what can and cannot be achieved or obtained.
And it can be a vicious circle.
When you learn to master your conscious mind, and imprint the right programming into the subconscious, you will be absolutely unstoppable.
You will then have full control of the subconscious mind’s incredible powers to make you aware of opportunities, people, resources, and situations that you need in order to have or do something. It will make your actions effortless and natural.
Manifesting what you want will truly be easy when you harness the power of your subconscious mind.
How Can I Practice My Subconscious Power?
Physical reality, as well as your thoughts and emotions, are nothing but vibrations of energy.
Energy “packets,” called quanta, can behave in any way that they are influenced by other quanta. This basically means that the energy of your thoughts can, and does, influence matter.
What you focus on is what you attract.
So, think about your inner speech. What does your mind fear?
What do you tell yourself, day in and day out?
And what does your mind do when you introduce a new idea that is in conflict with your subconscious programming?
Most of the time, we are not aware of our inner speech.
We go through our days on autopilot — most of our actions and speech patterns are nothing but regurgitated data stored in the subconscious.
Yes, it makes life easier. Imagine how hard it would be to think about how to tie your shoes every time you had to do it. It’s a lot of mental effort that has become automated!
How do I activate my subconscious mind?
Awareness of your inner speech gives you the information you need to master your mind.
If your circumstances are not to your liking, it’s because you have been thinking and feeling in a way that has pointed your mind in a certain direction, and that is where your life is headed!
So, when you become aware of the nature of your inner speech, you can imprint new programming and totally change the direction of your life.
It can be humbling, but exciting at the same time, to realize just how powerful your thoughts are at manifesting your circumstances! The subconscious mind operates on habit.
So, by imprinting positive, optimistic, “can-do” thoughts over and over until they become habits, you will replace the old habits and create neural pathways based on positive “I can be/do/have…” thinking.
Change comes from within.
You can change jobs, end relationships, move, but unless you “change your mind” from within, you’ll just attract more of the same. Or your changes will be temporary at best. It will be “same stuff, different face or location or job…”
Meditation is the best way to become attuned to your inner world and the images you paint.
A daily meditation practice can transform your life, as you become aware of this inner world, master your mind and reprogram your dominant thoughts.
You might be amazed at how many thoughts you habitually think are actually driving you away from what you want. But by daily practice, you can imprint the right programming.
You’ll notice synchronicity everywhere. And life will become incredibly fun as your outer world becomes a mirror for the new awesomeness you hold in your subconscious mind!
