The Intuition Backgrounds Of Some Of The World’s Most Brilliant Minds

by Natasha Wanderly November 10, 2018

Contrary to popular belief, many of history’s greatest minds made their most profound breakthroughs when they weren’t actually using their minds, at all.

Albert Einstein, Nikola Tesla, Steve Jobs, Elon Musk, Leonardo Da Vinci, Newton, Vishen Lakhiani, and many others, used the power of intuition to spark their greatest successes.

What’s most exciting about the intuition backgrounds of these geniuses isn’t the history that has been created, but the magic can be created when we learn to follow in their footsteps.

The only real valuable thing is intuition.

— Albert Einstein

We needn’t an extensive education, a rare genetic code, nor a pilgrimage through India to change the trajectory of humanity. We just need to learn to tap into the same source of intuition they tapped into.

And luckily, we can.

We all can — intuition is something we can train ourselves to tap into. To find out how, check out our post all about intuition.

In this article, however, we will be sharing the inspiring intuition backgrounds of just some of these legendary pioneers to get you excited about your up-and-coming intuitive journey.

Intuition Backgrounds Of 4 Of The World’s Greatest Minds

What are the types of intuition?

1. Albert Einstein

The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift.

— Albert Einstein

As one of the greatest scientific minds of all time, Einstein claims that his greatest insights never came from mathematics, rational thought, logic, or even thinking.

Rather than a scientist, he considered himself an artist: a visionary, a man of curiosity, imagination and…. (you guessed it) intuition.

Einstein once said to his friend, “When I examine myself and my methods of thought, I come close to the conclusion that the gift of imagination has meant more to me than any talent for absorbing absolute knowledge… All great achievements of science must start from intuitive knowledge. I believe in intuition and inspiration…. At times I feel certain I am right while not knowing the reason.”

2. Nikola Tesla

My brain is only a receiver. In the Universe, there is a core from which we obtain knowledge, strength, and inspiration.

— Nikola Tesla

Nikola Tesla is said to have had an amazingly powerful intuition.

He often described intense flashes of intuition, insight, and out-of-this world clarity. Within these momentary “flashes of clarity,” Tesla was able to envision an invention in near-perfect, holographic detail.

He claimed that his greatest discoveries, such as the rotating magnetic field, came to him in these extraordinary spouts of intuition.

3. Steve Jobs

Intuition is a very powerful thing, more powerful than intellect, in my opinion.

— Steve Jobs

In his early youth, Steve Jobs embarked on a 7 month long soul-searching quest. Like many soul-searchers, he ventured to India. It was during this expedition that he discovered stillness, reflection, mindfulness, and most notably, the power to tap into intuition.

Intuition became the bedrock of his success — so much so that he insisted all of his tech-minded employees to be counseled in intuitive, mindful awareness.

As well, he even encouraged other “Tech Titans,” such as Larry Page and Mark Zuckerberg, to journey to the same temple in India where he first unveiled his intuitive potential.

4. Vishen Lakhiani

What is intuition?

Intuition leads to global unity.

— Vishen Lakhiani

While not a breakthrough a scientistic (though once an engineer), the founder of Mindvalley, Vishen Lakhiani has certainly made a dent in the Universe with his ingenuitive way of redesigning world education and personal transformation.

And guess where it all started?

Yes, with intuition.

Once upon a time, Vishen was stuck at a job he absolutely couldn’t stand — selling technology to a law firm. Sounds pretty lousy, right? And, he sucked at it.

After 3 months of frustration and compiling feelings of stagnation, he saw an ad for a strange meditation class called “Altered States of Mind to Unleash Intuition.” The class was formed by a brilliant man named Jose Silva, and is now referred to as the Silva Method.

But none of that mattered back then. Back then, meditation was weird.

Yet, Vishen found it intriguing. So he went — and his life was forever changed.

Immediately he applied the techniques he learned in the class and his sales doubled in one week. In no time, he was at the top of the game; moving up in the company so quickly that he lost interest and yearned to do something greater… Something far greater.

He quit.

He then followed his intuition (his passion), which ultimately led him to creating a global education system that is unleashing the full potential of humanity and taking the world by storm… Mindvalley.

Vishen even states that, “Intuition had such an incredible impact on my life that I spent the next 5 years learning and teaching and honing my skills in this area.” To learn more about the intuition backgrounds of Vishen’s life masterpiece, check out Vishen’s intuition story.

To learn how to tap into your intuition like a pro from the man, himself, check out Vishen’s Mindvalley program, Becoming Limitless

Becoming Limitless is basically a jet pack for your personal transformation — it takes you on a step-by-step journey, using Vishen’s powerful teaching framework, to your highest state of consciousness yet.

In this stage of consciousness, you will develop not just insane intuitive powers (a whole week of the program is dedicated to improving your intuition), but the power to bend reality and live a life that is truly limitless.
