How and When to Chant the Gayatri Mantra

Since the Gayatri Mantra is one of cleansing it is important to cleanse yourself before or as you say it.

It is recommended to say the Gayatri Mantra at least three times a day; in the morning, the afternoon and the evening/ before you go to bed. There is no limit to the number of times you can say the Gayatri Mantra, as long as you are consistent in your chanting.

When saying the Gayatri Mantra it is important to focus on what Gayatri and Savitr stand for, as well as the blessings you would like to receive from them.

For this reason, it is best to meditate in a quiet area, when you have time for yourself and will not be interrupted in your chanting.

What’s important is to focus, and to feel the mantra taking its effect on you.
