The core beliefs you hold to be true essentially make up the world around you. Who you are, what you can or cannot do, who you can be in the future, skills you believe you have a knack for, even thoughts around money and success.
What you believe to be true is what will define the reality you live. But how do you know for sure that your core beliefs are not based on falsehoods?
What Are Your Core Beliefs?
Core beliefs are belief systems that you assume to be true about yourself and the world around you. It is not your basic beliefs, but the belief systems that the foundational to how you think, interpret the world, and feel.
Core beliefs are so foundational, one way of thinking about them would be; they are the beliefs about how you think and interpret beliefs.
What are negative core beliefs?
Often times, the lies we tell ourselves tend to be the most damaging and persistent ones.
We don’t set out to lie to ourselves, yet almost everyone engages in negative self-talk and disempowering thought patterns.
How do I change my core beliefs?
The first thing you need to ask yourself and answer is, what’s your belief system?
Why? Because belief systems create your reality.
The belief systems you set up for yourself from the beginning, in some way, guide your actions and thinking as you move forward and grow in the world.
The decisions you choose to take are a result of your guiding belief systems. They eventually result in the outcomes of your life, which in turn creates your reality.
In this 7-minute video, Vishen talks about some of his negative core beliefs and explains how he stopped telling himself one major lie.
This self-imposed limitation was holding him — and his company — back from fulfilling its potential. Mindvalley was on the brink of financial disaster.
But instead of having to dissolve the company and let go of his employees, Mindvalley had its first million-dollar month because he came across one man.
That man was T. Harv Eker.
Harv Eker is the author of The New York Times bestseller Secrets of The Millionaire Mind: Mastering the Inner Game of Wealth, a man who’s helped over a million people adopt a Wealth Mindset.
Watch this video to hear:
- (0:06) — The inspiring and emotional story behind Mindvalley’s success, and how we went from bleeding money to having our first million-dollar month;
- (2:19) — What business schools don’t tell you about the success and wealth that you need to know;
- (3:20) — The two common lies we choose to believe about wealth and work that keep us from achieving our highest level of success;
- (4:15) — How clearing these abundance blocks had a tremendous effect on his company, his life and the lives of his employees.
When you adopt the wealth mindset it will have far more of an impact on your career and success than any single business strategy.
It’s also worth noting that how you’ve initially set up your belief system from the beginning will compose your present and future core beliefs.
Do you want to change the negative core beliefs that are holding you back? Then work on re-evaluating the belief systems that you’ve set up in your mind in the beginning.
Question how you question and reach conclusions of what is true and what is false.
Your business or career is only going to grow to the extent
of your mindset around money.
