Donald Trump & Simon Cowell take a backseat as Mike, Vishen and Jiangti of MindValley judge the business presentation of a Malaysian boy... if MindValley likes him enough, he is one step closer to $50,000 to kickstart the business / career of his/her dreams.
Will the boy impress the MindValley team? Watch the video and tell us!
UPDATE: Hannu's got some "behind the scenes" pics, and a writeup (in Finnish) here.
i just randomly found this blog. Its very interesting. But i've got to say the poor guy in the video seemed really nervous like he was about to cry when he did the presentation.
only the strong survive!
true true... agree on that.
Hmmmh ... I would be careful in how I distribute my sympathy for people who don't come to the meeting room with a strategy. "Failure to plan often means in planning to fail!".
After I say:"poor guy, he had such a slick hairdo ...", my next response would be that Vishen and Mike could have been tackling one more real sales opportunity. I routinely sit through intensely technical presentations where the guy is brilliant, but he just cannot get his message across. Here we have somebody who is not even familiar with the subject matter but he wants somebody to invest time and money into his poorly-researched scheme.
On a more positive note - and let me try not to be judgemental - this experience could have been just what Mr X needed to realize that he needs to work on planning and strategy, selling ideas, research and value proposition in E-commerce.
I am certainly not a guru in internet marketing but If I am going to try selling something to the world, I am going to make damn sure that I got all my eggs in one basket
.
another jobstreet site.... speechless...
Btw, i m not agree with the judge that when u do internet biz u must focus on international market. Being localize is one of the benefits that any Malaysian Enterpreneur has while those big boy like Google doesn't have.
Look at China, they don't event care to play the game on international market. Why? Bcs their government created a protective environment for them. And see how many international big boy who really make it in China?
If you really wanted to compete in international, why start in Malaysia? There are many country out there with better internet connections.
And.. if you cant even success in your own country, how many ppl would trusted you?
After all, if you really wanted to start something on the Internet, why you must go for reality show and let bunch of peoples who don't understand your local market to judge you?
Trust yourself and just do it. You can always start small and let your users to judge you. Build something for them and not the judges.
