This is an extract from my speech at EngageToday 2009, where I had the pleasure of sharing the stage with Richard Branson, The Dalai Lama, President FW De Klerk and many other brilliant thought leaders.

In this speech, I expand upon the concept of "Flow" and talk about how we use the concept of Consciousness Engineering to enhance the performance of my team at MindValley. It's based on two things: first giving people bold visions. Next, teaching people how to be 'Happy in the Now'. In this video I reveal 10 ways we do this at our company. This presentation was voted by the audience as one of the best presentations of the entire EngageToday 2009 event. Enjoy!

Alexandra Cattoni, one of my managers at MindValley just started her new blog. You have to love her style and attitude.

Personally, I love the fact that she's living a life that's the epitome of what I'm trying to create with my work-culture experiments at MindValley.

Here's her bio from the blog:

I work with an amazing online publishing company called MindValley where I manage and grow a multi-million dollar a year personal development business online. When I’m not at Starbucks working some marketing magic on my MacBook, you’ll find me doing one of the many other things I am passionate about: traveling, diving, writing, photography, surfing, dancing or wake boarding. Sound fun? It is.

For me, life is all about living and I wake up every morning with this mantra echoing in every corner of my mind. I’m a member of an elite group of “go-getters” that Tim Ferris (author of “The 4-Hour Work Week”) refers to as the “New Rich.” Not rich with money (although money is definitely not something I worry about), but rich with time and mobility to do whatever the hell I want, whenever the hell I want. This is the reason behind why, at the age of 23, I have already lived in 3 different continents, traveled to over 120 cities in 23 different countries and am able to travel somewhere new almost every single month.

I am not going to lie.

Life. is. good.

Oh yeah, we're still hiring. Visit www.MindValley.com/careers »

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to send you an update and let you know that Felix was born at 3:01AM on Wednesday morning. Michelle, Felix and I are super happy, healthy and also exhausted. Felix weight when born was 9 pounds and 4 ounces and he was born naturally after 51 hours of labor.

Yes, labor took a really long time (20 hours in considered very long and I did not even know that anything like 51 hours was humanly was possible - Michelle is amazing to hang in there for so long).

Due to the long labor we are staying an extra day in the hospital where I do not have any Internet and so I won't be back online and on email until Friday Vancouver time.

Talk to you soon,

Mike

PS: No pictures yet, I just rushed back home from the hospital to send of a quick email to let everyone know that Michelle, Felix, and I are doing great.

Our best Awesomeness Report yet. So when I asked Sean to come to hope on a 25 hour flight to Bali to spend a few days with us Sean agreed on one condition. He wanted to really create an impact on the lives of the MindValley people he would meet and speak too.

Sean did 5 amazing speaking sessions for us in Bali but he saved his best for last.

Back in our office this Tuesday after 3 days in Bali, Sean did an amazing hour long presentation on "How to Manifest the Impossible"

I'm a speaker too, and I've seen many of the greatest speakers in the world on stage. But seeing this 3 foot tall man in a wheelchair dazzle and sway the audience is something else. Sean dove into our hearts and left with ideas and views that will stay with us for a long time.

For today's Awesomeness Report I decided to bring in a speaker from a totally different genre. Rather than an author or personal development leader I invited Stephanie Chai to share her story of success.

Stephanie is a local actress and model whose face is recognizable on billboards across the city. Next week she's actually in a movie with Sean Penn and Naomi Watts. But makes her special is her brilliant sense of humor, smarts and radiant personality.

She shared the story of how she built her career from scratch, became a financially independent at the age of 23, and got into property investing.

Stephanie described MindValley as being back in her international high school. Where else can you find 15 different countries represented in one single room.
